    i think the second option is better when u need to execute sql statements and that is for what the recordset object is...where in u can set the proper locks and cursors for the query to run faster...and u have many options of the recordset available.<BR><BR>But i also read some books that say that we can use both of these at will...so it is upto u to decide on it. I would prefer the go for the 2nd option even if it is more lines to type...
