    Default FileSystemObject-Mapped Drive

    How do I access a mapped drive using FileSystemObject?<BR><BR>Here&#039;s an example<BR><BR>On my local machine the drive is mapped to Y:<BR>The remote name is \s99x01apps1<BR><BR> disktoexamine = "\s99x01apps1"<BR> set fs = Server.CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")< BR> disktoexamine = fs.GetAbsolutePathName(disktoexamine)<BR> set f = fs.GetDrive(disktoexamine)<BR><BR>When using the remote system name for my mapped drive, it blows up. what am I doing wrong?<BR><BR>This does work if i substitute "C:" to look at my local machine.<BR><BR>Thanks for your help.<BR>Randy

    FSO doesn&#039;t handle network (unc) drives with as much aplomb as it does local drives. that&#039;s it. nothing much you can do. some methods work, others don&#039;t<BR><BR>j
