    Default trapping errors

    Does anyone have experience trapping errors like:<BR><BR>ORA-01089: immediate shutdown in progress - no operations are permitted and<BR><BR>ORA-01034: ORACLE not available<BR><BR>I want to display the status of the databases on the mainpage and if they are in this state, the page fails completely with one of the above errors.
