    Default Question - Windows Script Component

    I am confused as when to use the different methods for external code.<BR>A) Call another ASP page<BR>B) Use Server Side Includes<BR>C) Create a Windows Script Component<BR><BR>What are the advantages and disadvantages of each. Is there a right time to use one versus another.<BR><BR>Thanks for any help.<BR>Vince

    I&#039;d use a WSC - since it can be cached as an independent object by the script engines, it takes away some of the parse/compile load in comparison to the other two options, which both add to the compile phase. It&#039;s not as fast or as good as a real binary component, but it does offer advantages.
