I am about to do some major updates and rewrites on my site, and wanted to do it all locally. The problem is, my local URLs...

http://localhost/website/index.asp
and for pages in sub directories
http://localhost/website/subdirectory/page.asp

as opposed to
http://www.younglit.com/index.asp
and
http://www.younglit.com/subdirectory/page.asp

The problem is the change in directory level completely breaks everything! Including my internal links, SSI's, images, and style sheet. The solutions that I see are to change all my links in the local version of the site to reflect the directory system. Then change them all back when I upload the site to the remote server (hell no). Or, do it all remotely (I don't want to!)

There must be an easy fix for this problem, I doubt microsoft would be this short sighted. Thanks in advance!
