Default RE: Stored Query with Parameters

Using SQL stored procedures is way faster than sending a new query by ADO every time. Query written in ADO has to be parsed, resolved and optimized by the database engine with every execution. Once a stored procedure is run, it is stored in the procedure cache and retrieved from there.<BR>If you are talking about parameter query in Access, at least it will not be slower than passing a sql string. And furthermore it is good practice to separate the sql statements from the asp codes. It would reduce the burden of the server on performing string manipulation.<BR>The drawback may be the added overhead to create command objects to pass the parameters.
