Hi,

Does anyone know if there is a way to test for existing related data before trying to delete a record (Access)?

ie.
I am trying to delete a row of data but the code is falling down at the SQL statement because the data is related to another table.

This is fine, I want the data to stay intact if it has related data, But I dont want the code to grind to a halt in the process.

I tried on 'error resume next' but that dosnt work so is there a similar command for SQL, or perhaps a way to test for related data (without having to query the related tables first)?

Thanks to anyone who replies.

MRB UK
