Default Querystring Limitations

    Im just curious about the limits on querystrings. While I always use the post method when possible, i have found myself needing to use regluar <a href's>. My audience will only be using IE 5, 5.5 or 6 so no need for netscape answers. Is there a maximum amount of characters? How much?

Thanks

    There is an maximum amout of characters, but I seem to have forgotten it right now. But if you need to transport large amounts of data you still can use an form, with only hidden fields!

<FORM ACTION="nextpage.asp" name="form1">
<INPUT TYPE ="hidden" value="whateveryouwant">
</FORM>

Now you can use an simple A HREF to submit the page and request the information on the next page:

<A HREF ="#" onclick = "document.form1.submit">

HTH

Pe ter
