Default MTS, ADO, and Oracle

    We have run into some problems in trying to use MTS to manage our DB connections on our ASP pages. We use the following VBScript code to establish our DB connection:

Set objConn = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")
objconn.Mode = adModeRead
objConn.Open "Provider=MSDAORA.1;" &_
"Data Source=(databasename);" &_
"User ID=(userid);" &_
"Password=(password);"

The code executes fine until we add the following line to the page which causes MTS to handle resource management:

<%@ Transaction = "Required" %>

When that line of code is added, the page returns an error code of 8000ffff with the full text description being "Catastrohic Error".

We are running IIS 4.0 with SP5 installed and have upgraded to MDAC 2.1 SP2. Anyone have any clues?

Thanks in advance!
