Default Forms and popups

    Hi,

I am trying to pass the info from a form to a pop up. using a window open script in the button tag does not allow the info to be passed on and when I use
<form method="post" action="Calc1.asp" >
at the beginning of the form, the pop up is ignored and the page that opens (Calc1.asp) is normal size.
Help!

Thanx

    Default

    To target a form to another window, you must use the TARGET= property of the <FORM> tag.

Now, the problem with using *JUST* TARGET= is that it will pop the new window up as a "clone" of the current window (same size, same scrollbars, etc., etc.).

If you want finer control than that, such as controlling the window height and width, then you can pull a "trick":

<FORM Name=Whatever Target="MyPopup" Action="Calc1.asp"
onSubmit=";','MyPopup&# 039;,'height=300,width=600'); return true;" >

See that? *Before* the submit actually happens, you open a *blank* window with the right name and the right characteristics. Then the form will post to that blank window, and all works as you want it to!
