    Default Formatting Access Fields

    How can I take text enetered into a field in my Access 2k db through my website and force the first letter of each word to be capitalized. <BR><BR>Thank you!<BR><BR>John Keely

    Default In the DB or as it is displayed?

    If you want to do it in the DB, it would be better to change the text before it is ever put into the table.<BR><BR>If you want to do it as you extract the data...<BR><BR>Hmmm...<BR><BR>&#060;%<BR>...<BR>wo rds = Split( RS("theTextToBeTransformed") ) &#039; break on spaces<BR>For w = 0 To UBound( words )<BR>&nbsp; &nbsp; word = LCase(words(w))<BR>&nbsp; &nbsp; words(w) = UCase(Left(word),1) & Mid(word,2)<BR>Next<BR>theText = Join( words ) &#039; rejoin on spaces<BR>...<BR>%&#062;<BR><BR>The only way to do this in Access would be to write a similar function in VBA and execute a query that uses the function.<BR><BR>
