Hi all:

I have an embedded chat component that needs an absolute URL
for a "failed to connect" page (or else it redirects to the component makers site). So I need to feed it a full URL of a
page on my site. However, I don&#039t want to hardcode my site path
(as my site may be on a number of different servers). So, how
can I get the base-path of the web site?

Meaning, if my current page is http://www.mysite.com/dept3/chatpage.asp, I need to get
"http://www.mysite.com/dept3" out of it (as I need to put "http://www.mysite.com/dept3/chatfailed.htm" into the applet).

Ok, I guess I can get the full URL of the current page and walk the string backwards to the / and cut it, but I&#039m hoping for an easier way.

Thanks,
Akiva Marks
