    &nbsp;<BR>here&#039;s what i have -<BR><BR>rs.CursorLocation = adUseClient<BR><BR>objcnn.Open MyDataSource, "sa"<BR>objCommand.ActiveConnection = objcnn<BR>objCommand.CommandType = adCmdtext<BR>objCommand.CommandText = strQuery<BR><BR>Why would <BR><BR>rs.Open objCommand, , adOpenForwardOnly, adLockOptimistic<BR><BR>be slower than<BR><BR>Set rs = objCommand.Execute<BR><BR>I find a huge difference between the two calls. Is there something wrong with my code ? or is the second statement really faster.<BR><BR>Any help would be appreciated !<BR><BR>Thanks<BR>Archana

    Default The real question... why bother with the command object at all. You can call stored procedures creating recordsets without it.<BR><BR> <BR><BR>Download the test code...
