I&#039m using SQL server, and I found out through
a book that varchars cost 1 byte per character.

Supposing I just had an primary key of an int (4 bytes?)
and a 2000 varchar field, can I assume that my database
would be n * 2004 ? Would the space for indexing and
other items be small enough? What else should I take into
consideration?
