Default XML/XSL and querystrings

    Hello,

I am new to XML/XSL. I have written an XSL that loops through an XML document and creates several hyperlinks. These hyperlinks are the same, except an "Author_ID=x" is added to the end of the hyperlink (the x is dynamic, based on the Author_ID in the XML file)

My question is how can I retrieve this unique Author_ID from the subsequent XSL page? I would love to use ASP to do a response.querystring call, but I can't use ASP on the next XSL page.

Does anyone know the best way to pass values from one page to the next?

Thanks for any help . . .

- Josh

at the top of your 'next' XSL page, include this line:

<xsl:param name="Author_ID"></xsl:param>

Now you can, in the XSL doc, refer to the Author_ID passed via the querystring like this: $Author_ID
