I have xml stored on an asp page as the following:

<XML ID="trendxml">
<% Response.Write XMLString %>
</XML>

When the XMLString is small, I have no problem accessing data using vbscript and the XML DOM. However, when the XMLString is large, I get a vbscript runtime error saying that the trendxml object is not recognized. It's not a problem with XMLString either, since I copied it to an XML file and loaded it in IE with no problem. After this error when the page initially loads, though, there is no error when the page is refreshed.

It would be unprofessional just to write a message to refresh the page if a vbscript error occurs, so does anyone knows why I'm having the problem with the large xml documents and how to fix the problem?
