Default Help needed here! Connecting to a dB on a different server!

I need to connect to a database on a different server to the one running the asp. Is there anyway I can specify which server to use when using the &#039Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")&#0 39 line? If so, how can I do it? Or do I need to migrate the database to the server running the asp?<BR><BR>Any help, opinions and/or comments well appreciated!

    If you&#039re using SQL Server you can connect by specifying the<BR>server name, and database name as follows:<BR><BR>set conn = server.createobject("adodb.connection")<BR>conn.op en "DRIVER={SQL Server}; SERVER=Server_Name; UID=User_Id; PWD=Password; DATABASE=Database_Name"<BR>

Can this type of communication apply to a mdb file on IIS4? I am trying to use DTCs on an ASP page and in order for me to create the data connection I need a DSN="dsnName" but, the database is remote. I can&#039t seem to use the IP address in the path to the db.
