Give up on it, it can't be done. No such thing as automatic printing. What if you come to my site, I "automatically" print 40 pages of advertisements to your printer. Using your ink. Using your paper. Ya would be pissed, huh?
Sarah, have you investigated using window.print() ? I'm not sure if this is restricted to IE 5 only, but people use this to format the page ( remove headers and banners ) before a user prints their article.
it's actually cross platform, excluding IE4, which uses an ActiveX control to print.<BR><BR>there's a code snippet in the codelibrary at http://www.infinitemonkeys.ws/ which gets pretty much all browsers (apart from some mac clients)<BR><BR>as for the automatic issue, users have the final call on wheteher to click 'ok' or 'cancel' just as it should be.<BR><BR>j<BR>http://www.atrax.ws/
