    Hi<BR><BR>Anyone know if theres away to open a printable web page (i know how to do this) and also start the page printing automatically?<BR><BR>Thanks

    Give up on it, it can&#039;t be done. No such thing as automatic printing. What if you come to my site, I "automatically" print 40 pages of advertisements to your printer. Using your ink. Using your paper. Ya would be pissed, huh?

    Sarah, have you investigated using window.print() ? I&#039;m not sure if this is restricted to IE 5 only, but people use this to format the page ( remove headers and banners ) before a user prints their article.

    it&#039;s actually cross platform, excluding IE4, which uses an ActiveX control to print.<BR><BR>there&#039;s a code snippet in the codelibrary at which gets pretty much all browsers (apart from some mac clients)<BR><BR>as for the automatic issue, users have the final call on wheteher to click &#039;ok&#039; or &#039;cancel&#039; just as it should be.<BR><BR>j<BR>
