Hi guys,

I inherited a lot of asp code, which is wrongly coded in many aspects.one of it is storing connections in session objects. The problem is quite often i'm getting the error from Oracle saying "Maximum no of processes exceeded".

when i took a snapshot of the statistics about the DB, i found many processes are in "INACTIVE" status, which belongs to two or three days ago, other than currentday's processes.

Even though the coding is wrong, why oracle is not able to release all those processes, which are not in use any more?(coz the session variables that are holding the connections should have been cleared off, sometime if not instataneously)Is IIS anyway responsible?

Any suugestions are appreciated!
Any
