Default Running .bat and .exe files?

I'm running an intranett page, and want to be able to run .bat, .lnk and .exe files without getting prompted whether to download or run the program at current location. I always want to run the program(not DL it). The program i want to run is not on the NT ASP server, but on other networkdrives. Is there a way to get past this? Some settings in IE4.0 to manage this, or is there any programs or modules that can handle it?

getting past the &#039;download or run&#039; dialog would be a major security risk. imagine a site which could use javascript to redirect to a .exe virus......<BR><BR>j

I believe you could use the Run Method of the Windows Script Host. <BR><BR><BR><BR>I&#039;m not sure if you would need to have drives mapped to the other servers or if you could use UNC paths.
