Is it necessary to drop a make-table query? If so, what is the syntax?

Thanks!

The table will be dropped automatically by the database when the users session is over, but that doesn't always work as well as it's supposed to and uses up a lot of resources.
The syntax to drop the table is:

DROP TABLE #TempTable

I tried that, and I got the following error:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server (0x80040E37)
Cannot drop the table '#Temp1', because it does not exist in the system catalog.

What is causing that? Do you know of a fix?

Thanks for the help!
