Default ASP and forms

I have a site where users login using an ID and password.
When logged in they can update their user information by filling out a form.
When they fill out the form and hit the submit button, the data is stored in an Access database.
If they then go to another page, and then come back to the forms page, they can still see their data displayed there.
However, if they log off, then come back and log in again and go to the forms page -only some of the data is still retained.

Any data written to a textBOX (like name, address etc.) is still there. But I also have a textAREA box so they can enter long narrative descriptions of their businesses. That box is always empty when they come back - and they have to enter it every time they visit the form.

How do I get the textAREA to retain the information. It retains it in the database, but will not show it on the form.
Thanks, mitch
