Default Allow Zero Length in Access ???

I have some fields that I do want to force the client to fill until they have the copy finalized. Are there any problematic issues with allowing zero length in text area fields?

The reason I ask is that in HTML sometimes a zero lenth "file" can cause problems, hanging, inability to edit, etc.

This, however, is just a zero length "field" in the Access97 db, so I wouldn&#039t anticipate any problems.

Any thoughts???

You can have a zero length field. You just have to set it up that way in Access. In the design view, select the field in question. On the bottom of the screen there is a "General" tab. The second to last item is Allow Zero Length Yes/No.
