Default Virtual means that it is in a Virtual directory...

    ...created in IIS. For ASP includes, this is definitely the way to go. Why?

Because a virtual directory can be referenced WITHOUT relative addressing which makes nested includes much much easier to deal with.

<!--#include virtual="includes/myinclude.asp"-->

This can now be nested and referenced anywhere with the folder hierarchy of your site without changing the path to the include.
