    let&#039s say i pass this as the url<BR><BR>http://www.example.com/default.asp?x=1&y=0<BR><BR>i want go to another web page with the exact same url<BR>PLUS z=12 on the end .<BR>how would i capture the current URL and add &z=12 on the end <BR>the resulting string would therefore be http://www.example.com/default.asp?x=1&y=0&z=12<BR><BR>Would it be <BR>&#060;%<BR>page= Request.ServerVariables("URL")<BR> &#039will it return /page.asp and variables on the end ?<BR>stringtoattach="&z=12"<BR><BR>Response.redire ct URL & stringtoattach<BR>%&#062; <BR><BR>is that the way you guys would do it ?<BR>John

    hi,<BR><BR>the correct way to do something like that would mean that u need to use the Server.URLencode variable. go to www.learnasp.com for the correct syntax.<BR><BR>:-)<BR>baby johnson
