    Default Multiple-step OLE DB operation generated errors??

    Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers (0x80040E21)<BR>Multiple-step OLE DB operation generated errors. Check each OLE DB status value, if available. No work was done.<BR><BR>I have no clue what this error means. Can anyone help me out?<BR>

    Even though YOU may have coded a single DB operation, under the covers ADO can need several steps to complete your request. And sometimes such a multi-step operation gives this error.<BR><BR>You can *TRY* doing this, though it may not help:<BR><BR>&#060;%<BR>...<BR>yourConn.Errors.Cle ar &#039; may not be needed...can&#039;t hurt!<BR>On Error Resume Next<BR>&#060;&#060;&#060; PUT THE PROBLEM LINE OF CODE HERE &#062;&#062;&#062;<BR>On Error GoTo 0<BR><BR>For Each oops In yourConn.Errors<BR>&nbsp; &nbsp; Response.Write "DB ERROR #" & oops.Number & ": " & oops.Description & "&lt;BR&#062;"<BR>Next<BR><BR>...<BR>%&#062;<BR><B R>That gets all the error messages that ADO knows about, which *might* just be that one message, unfortunately.<BR><BR>"yourConn" is, of course, whatever connection object you are using to do the operation, even if it&#039;s not directly used in the line with the error.<BR><BR>
