Default setTimeout and VBScript

    How can I update a table with sql-statements after a certain time detected by the setTimeout function? Suppose:
<script language="JavaScript1.2">
<!--
function updatetable()
{
// a javascript or vbscript here to update the talbe
}
return
//-->
</script>

Later, in the body:

<body onLoad="setTimeout('updatetable()',10000 )">

Thank you all in advance.

    The only way to update the table is to reload the entire page from ASP. In which case, why bother with setTimeout? Just use a meta refresh to force the reload.

Actually, that isn't 100% true. You *COULD* look into Remote Scripting (start at But you really probably do not want to.
