My serverprovider won&#039t let me write to a database through forms without paying. Now, the customer doesn&#039t want to pay for that kind of service.

Now I&#039m wondering, can I write and edit to a textfile instead of a database? And how?

A text file counts as a database too.but you should be able to go around it with using this as the dsn:dbpath="DBQ=" & server.mappath("calendar.mdb")my_Conn.Open "DRIVER={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)}; " & dbpath
