Default Reading spaces and line breaks

i'm trying to insert a resume's data in a field, it gets inserted perfectly well, it even has the spaces and all. but when i read into a recordset and display it ignores all the spaces and line breaks. it concatenates everything in that field.

instead of inserting in database i tries to create a textfile and writing this resume in that, when i opened that file in notepad, everything was just as it should be but again when i opend it in reading mode and used (readline) it gave the same problem, everything concatenated, spaces ignored.

then i used replace(str," ", " ")

but even that didn't work, can u tell me how do i recognize spaces and line breaks, it's urgent

thanks

Default Do it this way, you are on the right track...

    replace (string, vbcr, "<br>")
replace (string," ","&nbsp&nbsp")

Replace the vbcr (carriage return) with a br tag, and replace every spot where there are two spaces side by side to two nbsp tags, that should fix it for you.

-- Whol
