Default BrowserType - Can't Create Component

Microsoft VBScript runtime error &#039 800a01ad&#039
ActiveX component can&#039t create object
/browstest.asp, line 3

line 3:
Set bc = Server.CreateObject("MSWC.BrowserType")

I suspect it&#039s a permission problem but I haven&#039t been able to nail it down. The internet guest user has RX privilege on the directory that contains browscap.dll. I checked the MSWC.BrowserType key in the registry and the permissions looked fine there too. Our development server has no problem running this script. Anyone else run into this brick wall?!

Thanks!

Oliver

Sometimes the MS Knowledge Base can be your friend!

I&#039ll spare y&#039all the gory details but for posterity, I
found the solution to my problem here:

http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/q194/8/01.ASP

(Ok, the CLSID was pointing to a non-existent dll)

Oliver
