    Can some tell me the difference between &#039;size&#039; and &#039;maxlength&#039;<BR><BR>Thanks<BR>Sid

    Maxlength is the maximum amount of chracters to be entered<BR>in the form element<BR><BR>Size is the size of the box the data will go in to.

    I believe you are NOT referring to ASP but to HTML.. even though this should be in the HTML area.. I will answer.... =)<BR><BR>Size is for the form object&#039;s display length or number of characters that will be displayed on the web page. Say you set it to 5, you can type in anything, but you will only see the first 5 characters of your text... ex: aspmessageboard would be entered, but only the first few characters displayed.<BR><BR>On the other had<BR><BR>maxlength is used to set the MAXIMUM number of characters a person can enter. This is often used for login/password boxes. So say you accept password up to 16 characters long, you set maxlength to 16. Nothing more will fit after 16.<BR><BR>hope this helped.<BR><BR>Vadim C.
