Default Detecting asp failure and redirecting

The company that hosts my website often has to reboot their servers and sometimes during the reboot the asp application fails to start-up. I then have to start the website asp application manually via the control panel. Does anyone know of a way to detect that the asp is working, probably by using javascript on an html index page, and redirecting to another html page if it's not.

Set up a frameset with two pages, one with HTML & Javascript (obviously hosted on a different box) and the other with ASP that contains a FORM.<BR><BR>Use the javascript to check for a form element in the ASP page, it must wait a few seconds before checking and redirect if it&#039;s not there.<BR><BR>You may interested in IIS 5 which restarts itself automatically on failure.
