It is pretty straight forward to drop a SQL table with ASP, but is there a way to check to see if the table exists first before attempting to drop it?
IF EXISTS <BR>(SELECT * FROM sysobjects<BR>WHERE id = object_id(N'[dbo].[tablename]')<BR>AND<BR>OBJECTPROPERTY(id, n'IsUserTable') = 1<BR>--then<BR>DROP TABLE [dbo].[tablename]
Thanks Desert Ghost. Would I use that code in a stored procedure or could I acutally use that directly in my ASP?
Still looking for another alternative to this issue?
Did you try this from ASP? This is for SQL Server also... I don't know if it'll work using access.<BR><BR>You may want to try to test if the table exists using that keyword, or just trap the ADO error number.
