    I used the recordset count, which was accurate for records > 1.<BR>But, if recordset reported one record, it could be a lie - recordset apparently not being able to tell the difference between 1 and 0. I thrashed around with this for a while, then decided I would do a IsNull check on the fields involved. If there were all null, this was a phoney record; otherwise count = 1.
