Default filling page with records based upon ID

    sorry about my vagueness but Im new to asp!
Im developing a little site where you can do a search. The results show some basic records witha hyperlink to full record.
However, I cannot work out how to output the record from the link eg description.asp?ID=1 will output only '1' - the other information I can't get to show. I haven't been able to find any code snippets on any of the site's that do this and am completely stuck as to how to do this basic and fundamental page. Can someone point me in the right direction or pass on some sample code please?
on the asp page you do something like this:
<%
SQLCMD="Select * from Yourtable where ID = " & CInt(Request.QueryString("ID")) & ";"

set rs=objConn.Execute(SQLCMD)
for each fld in Rs.Fields
    Response.Writ e Fld.Name & ": " & fld.value
Next
%>

objConn is a connection you would have openned tothe database.
