Hwo do I prevent "login ID sharing"? I.E. if a user is logged onto the system through userid and password validation how can I prevent another user from accesing the system using someone else's ID and password?
If you're using asp, you can use an application variable to record this user as logged on. You can also create a database field called loggedon, set to true if the logs on. The problem with that one is, what happens if he doesn't click the logoff button and just closes his browser.
Exactly, I had thought of both of the suggestions and decided that neither were going to work as I know my users and most will NOT use the log off feature. I know that SQL Server has to track the users somehow and I want to prevent concurrent logins from occuring. Thanks for the brain storm.
