[I posted this on the main board and got no response.]

OK, I get the following error sometimes on my desktop development box (Windows 2000, IIS 5.0). I've got a fairly complex MSDatashape query.

Error Type:
MSDataShape (0x80004005)
Data provider could not be initialized.
/TErebuild folder/TErebuild/play/full.asp, line 10

Line 10 is my connection string:

Set conn = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")
conn.Open "provider=MSDataShape; dsn=ted2"

The problem seems to go away if just wait.

Any ideas? I haven't launched the Shape query on a production server and I'm concerned it'll be a real problem if we launch. I want to use MSDatashape, but I'll go back to very complicated joins if this Shape thing isn't smooth.

Are the MSDatashape internal mechanics real slow? Any experiences like this out there?

Any ideas?
