I have kind of an odd question, and I&#039m not sure if this is possible. Anyway, we display a user&#039s hardware/software configuration on our site. This configuration is displayed in a linked Word document, or it is posted as a gif file directly on the page. Now, if the users want to update their hw/sw configuration, they need to be able to somehow update the configuration (using a form?), refresh, then see their changes on the screen. The problem is, their configuration information is not stored in a database. So I was going to create an updateable text file (that&#039s what our client wants), but in all the research I&#039ve done, text files can only be updated on the server. So now my question. Is it possible to create an updateable text file that user&#039s can update directly then see their changes right away?

Thanks for any help.
