Default ASP and HTTPS

I am looking for a cheap control that will allow me to make https calls without creating a form with hidden fields and submitting the form using javascript. I aam sending an id and password to a payment engine, so it needs to be secure. The only 1 I've found so far is IP Works SSL ASP Edition. It has more than I need so I cannot justify the price. All I need is the HTTP and HTTPS controls. I also found ASPHTTP, but it doesn't support https yet.

Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi,

The Microsoft Internet Transfer Control (MSINET.OCX) shipped with IE can make https requests aswell as http... You probably would want to wrap its functionality in a COM, but that should do it. One drawback is that this control only allows 4 concurrent connections.

Regards,
Marcus
