Default Date function problem

    Hi All,

Iam working with asp and relying heavily on the server date for inserting into the database. I work with 2 servers (one is a development server and other is the live server). The date setting on the development server is in the UK format and on the live server it is in US format. Iam unable to trap the system date in the correct format due to this reason (if I read the date as 3/4/2001 I cannot tell if it is march 4th or 3rd April). Can anyone tell me what should be done in order to insert and read the date correctly irrespective of the date setting on the server.

Cheers,
Sai.

You can set the locale on your pages.
To make dates appear in UK format, add Session.Lcid = 2057

This will work on both your servers, and will turn the dates into dd/mm/yy format.

Warning: Access like to receive dates in US format, so you may need to wsitch back to US format before using dates in SQL (1033 is the US setting).
