I have set up a generic form builder which allows a user to enter data into sql table fields. These fields vary in length between varchar 10 to varchar 100. My problem is this - no matter what text the user wishes to add they will see a page telling them their data has been saved but it wont warn them that if they are entering text into a varchar 10 field whatever they write after the tenth character will not be saved. Due to the generic nature of my form builder I cannot see an easy way out of this. I was hoping that maybe someone here could point me in the write direction so that I could offer the user a warning that their data will not be saved. Any feedback is appreciated.<BR>Cheers.
