I'm thinking of using a SQL2000 stored proc to create all my HTML and only using enough ASP to make calls into the proc. I have this bit of recursive data access which is required to build a product group tree in HTML, a job which would require several database calls with ASP but which is actually handled pretty easily with one TSQL proc IF I INCLUDE THE HTML BUILDING IN THE PROC ITSELF. Since I'm already doing HTML in the proc anyway, I thought I'd just move all but the bare minimum ASP/HTML to the proc - thus keeping all my core HTML in the same place and making HTML maintenance easier for the program overall. Would anyone care to comment on the wisdom (or lack) of this?
