I have a web server with Microsoft SQL server ver 7 outside a Pix 515 Cisco firewall (OS ver 4.4). I need to replicate this data to a Microsoft sql server ver 7 inside the firewall. Currently I can connect to both servers using Enterprise manager and I can setup the replication without any errors. When trying to sychronise the data it starts communicating and then I get an error stating that the remote server is not defined as a subscription server. I have checked and it is setup correctly. The security guys have configured a conduit for tcp on port 1433 and configured a static ip address as well. Do I need to configure a conduit for udp on port 1434 as well or is this only on SQL server 2000.
