Default SQL Parameters vs Recordset.Open

Can anybody suggest a way in which I can pass parameters to a SQL Server stored procedure and then open the recordset via the Open method. I want to be able to specify a scrollable cursor.

Currently, I am calling the procedure via commandObject.execute to which I have appended parameters but this only gives me the default cursor which I then cannot change.

What you can do is use the command object as the source of your recordset (either set the Source property, or use it as the first argument to the Open method). That way you can specify everything you want about the recordset before execution.

At least, you can in ADO 2.6...

Dunc
