## MDX - OLAP Question, Slicers Crossjoins and Filter

I have a problem.. (don't we all).

I have to come back with a result set on my only measure while limiting the number of dimensions I am returned. I don't care for them and they are a waist of bandwidth!

Right now my typical query might be

select {[All Geos].[Geo].[States].Members} on rows
CrossJoin(CrossJoin({[Homeowners Prop].[All Homeowners Prop].[Homeowners]},{[Income].[All Income].[\$100,000-\$124,999],[Income].[All Income].[\$125,000-\$149,999],[Income].[All Income].[\$150,000-\$174,999],[Income].[All Income].[\$175,000-\$199,999],[Income]...bla bla,{[All Phones].[Phones]})} on Columns
From "All Mor"

The last item on the Columns string is [All Phones].[Phones]

I want to sum up all the selected information and display it as just one record per GEO (row). Right now, It returns a dozen or so.

Slicer limits me to one dimension in a tuple set only. I can't put my dimensions together as a tuple set due to some constraints. If it were possible, I would rather do something like this

select {[All Geos].[Geo].[States].Members} on rows
{[All Phones].[Phones],[All Phones].[Phones] on columns
Where {[Income].[All Income].[\$100,000-\$124,999],[Income].[All Income].[\$125,000-\$149,999],[Income].[All Income].[\$150,000-\$174,999],[Income].[All Income].[\$175,000-\$199,999]}

But that doesn't work..

thoughts?
