Default Date formats

    Hello,

I've got a date. Lets say it's stored in Dim date.

It's read from an SQL database over which I have no control.
The date in the database is in English format : day/month/year.

When the date is written to my page by the script, it's in American format month/day/year.

How can I get the date to display in English format on my page and why the hell is it changing format anyway?

Thanks.

    Default RE: Date formats

Blame Bill Gates for being American and assuming we all use mm/dd/yy dates.

To fix it, put Session.LCID=2057 at the top of every page.

BUT beware, Sql will expect to see the date in mm/dd/yy format when you do selects etc. so you may need to switch the date back before using it in Sql

    Default Yes, that would work

You can put it pretty much anywhere, and I believe that you can change the LCID value more than once on a page.
