    Default HTTP_Referer Empty in IE

Hi,<BR>I&#039;m using<BR>&#060;% Dim link<BR>link = Request.ServerVariables("HTTP_Referer")%&#062;<BR> as part of a Tell A Friend script but for some reason the variable isn&#039;t being picked up when viewing with IE (5.5) but it is fine with Netscape. Does anyone know why and whether or not there&#039;s an alternative?

Default RE: HTTP_Referer Empty in IE

the only time i come across this problem is when a form has been submitted to an asp process page then i redirected to a different page from the process page and the referer is empty. it makes sense that this happens since the process page has no URL.
