..why not this:<BR>when updating the database make session variables for the values and after executing the asp script, read the value from teh variable and fill the form again, this will save a trip to the database. later when the form is re-filled, destroy the sessions.
Yeah, could be done<BR><BR>But, i follow a particular rule (well many)<BR><BR>1. Make pages as independent as humanly possible <BR>2. USe extremely low amounts of global vars. (keep it local)<BR>3. Have Fun.<BR><BR>Plus, in "high-end" systems, (sql server) querying a db hardly takes up time.
