Hi -
I have no problems running queries with Access & the web with a dsn-less connection. Below is my dsn-less conn method and it works fine. When I choose to export a form to .asp with access 2000 it assumes I'm not using a dsn-less connection and spits out what is on the very bottom, below the double line.
Question: can i make access spit out a dsn-less routine when exporting and / or how do I 'convert' the one below (bottom) into a a dsn-less connection. thanks - cjam
----------------------------------------------------
'dsn-less
accessdb="questweb2k1.mdb"
cString="dri ver={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)};" & _
"pwd=hammer;" &_
"DBQ=" & _
Server.MapPath("questweb2k1.mdb")
sql="SEL ECT * from Lesson;"

Set conn=Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")
co nn.Open (cString)
Set onQuest=conn.execute(sql)
===================== ===================================
=========== =============================================
& #039;access spit out
If IsObject(Session("questweb2k1.mdb_conn")) Then
Set conn = Session("questweb2k1.mdb_conn")
Else
Set conn = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")
conn.open "questweb2k1.mdb","","hammer"
Set Session("questweb2k1.mdb_conn") = conn
End If
%>
<%
If IsObject(Session("Lesson_rs")) Then
Set rs = Session("Lesson_rs")
Else
sql = "SELECT * FROM [Lesson]"
Set rs = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Recordset")
rs.Open sql, conn, 3, 3
If rs.eof Then
rs.AddNew
End If
Set Session("Lesson_rs") = rs
End If
