Default Reloading page into frame after error

    Hi everyone,

I have a page with 3 frames where the top let frame accepts an input, the botom left frame takes the input to create an index, and the main page (3rd frame) displays whatever the choice was from the index.

What I need to do is to clear the main page from the main_frame when and incorrect input is entered in the top_left Frame. I alreaddy have an msgbox pop-up telling the user that the code is incorrect, but would like to load a blank page into the main_frame.

any ideas?

thanks
Bastien
in your input_frame, check for the error (as you already do to create the msgbox popup, presumably)- say setting a variable called "erroroccured" to true - then

then in the head of the input_frame use an ASP if statement to create a client side javascript block eg like this...

<%if(erroroccured){%>
<script language=javascript>
window.parent.main_fr ame.location='blank.htm'
</script>
<%}%>

this client-side cript only gets written to the frame if there is an error!
